Muran’s Awakening Expansion
Flyff Universe Version 1.5.0
Level Cap Increase & Kaillun
A new continent, Kaillun, has been added north of Darkon. This region features monsters ranging from level 162 to 189, with Giant & Violet variants reaching up to level 192.
With this update, the player level cap has been increased to 190.
The new Kaillun has been fully remade with upgraded graphics and greatly expanded landmass compared to the original version. Several new sub-regions have been added, offering fresh exploration opportunities, new questlines, and an expanded storyline.
Orbalune Port
Monsters
Kaillun features familiar monsters from the original continent, including Hundur, Samoset, Kyouchish, and more. All monsters have been rebalanced to match the new level range and to better align with the Flyff Universe progression and difficulty curve.
Eillun
The familiar tree-based town of Eillun returns to FlyFF Universe with a complete visual overhaul. Eillun will serve as the primary hub for NPC interactions such as upgrading, shopping, food supplies, and more. Various new quests will also take place throughout the town via its resident NPCs.

New Dungeons
Ankou’s Asylum
The God of Death, Ankou, now resides within the newly overhauled Ankou’s Asylum. Only the bravest adventurers will claim the treasures hidden inside. The dungeon has received a full graphical update, including new models and textures, as well as an improved, more linear layout.
This revamped dungeon is accessible from level 166 and above, and can be challenged with your allies for a chance to obtain brand-new weapons, armor, and other rewards. New party-enhancement mechanics are available as you defeat waves of monsters. Destroying statues will grant powerful buffs as well as potential debuffs. Additional objectives can be completed by defeating even more enemies, granting extra rewards or summoning an NPC who can alter your current buff/debuff effects.
Your performance determines the boss you will face. Clearing the dungeon at top speed will lead you to the most challenging variant, [God of Death] Demonic Ankou. Meeting the medium time threshold summons [God of Death] Blazing Ankou. All other clear times will result in a battle against the standard [God of Death] Ankou. Harder variations feature additional attack patterns and mechanics but yield greater rewards.
Ankou’s Asylum can be entered through the dungeon NPC located in the darker region of Kaillun, Dreknir Ridge.
Dreknir Ridge
Infernal Dungeons
Infernal Dungeons are a new difficulty tier designed for characters between levels 166 and 190. Players can obtain the same rewards available in the level 141–165 Cursed Dungeons, some at higher chances, maintaining progression continuity while offering a greater challenge. Entry fees for Infernal Dungeons are identical to those of Cursed Dungeons. The following dungeons have received an Infernal difficulty mode:
- Leren Chasm
- Rhisis Catacombs
- Envy Depths
- Guardiane Sanctuary
- Storm Peak
- The Wilds
New Equipment
The expansion introduces several new equipment sets, including both armor and weapons. These items can be obtained from monsters across the Kaillun continent, Giant & Violet variants, and the revamped Ankou’s Asylum.
Weapons
New weapon tiers have been added with the Kaillun expansion. Common and Uncommon weapons (item levels 166–170) can be obtained from monsters throughout the Kaillun continent. A Unique weapon at item level 175 can also be acquired from Giant and Violet monsters in the region. These weapons are PvE-focused and feature a special skill, Death’s Rush, which has a chance to activate upon defeating an enemy. When triggered, it grants a powerful 3-second buff that greatly increases movement speed and PvE damage.
Additionally, Ankou Weapons have been introduced. These job-specific weapons are obtainable from battles against the [God of Death] Ankou. Harder versions of the boss provide increased drop rates for these items. These weapons come with either Muran’s Wrath (increased damage against enemies on full HP) or Ankou’s Harvest (increased damage against enemies below 25% HP). These two stats’ values are halved in PvP (10% Muran’s Wrath is 5% in PvP).
Armor
For new Armor, there are Common and Uncommon Armor that are obtainable from all monsters from the Kaillun continent with item level between 166-174. There are also Very Rare sets with item level 180 that are obtainable from all Giant & Violet monsters in Kaillun. These Armor sets are designed for PvE stats.
You can also obtain job-focused Very Rare armor sets from [God of Death] Ankou. Each set comes with a set bonus tailored to the specific class.
Third Jobs
Templar
Knights have evolved into Templars, gaining significant new power and versatility. A Templar equipped with a shield provides unmatched stability and protection for party members, surpassing the defensive capabilities of the Knight. When wielding a two-handed weapon, the Templar unleashes powerful melee AoE attacks that intimidate and overwhelm enemies.
The addition of new healing abilities—previously unavailable to Knights—greatly improves the Templar’s tanking stability. With the introduction of new skill attacks, the Templar now delivers even stronger offensive capabilities, solidifying its role as a formidable frontline class.
Added Skills:
- Shield Crush
- Rush Attack
- Templar’s Call
- Maelstorm Strike
- Sky Splitter
- Execution of Justice
- Last One Standing
Slayer
Blades have ascended into Slayers, gaining enhanced melee power and a suite of powerful new skills. Previously, Blades showed minimal variation regardless of weapon choice. As Slayers, their combat style now changes based on which weapon is equipped in each hand, offering greater identity and flexibility.
Slayers have also overcome their former weakness to ranged enemies. They can now rapidly close the distance to far-off targets or retaliate with ranged attacks of their own. With the addition of new AoE abilities, their once-limited area damage has been significantly strengthened, further expanding their offensive capabilities.
Added Skills:
- Bloody Rush
- Cross of Blood
- Bloody Thorn
- Storm Slash
- Storm Strike
- Tempest Barrage
- Stigma I
- Stigma II
- Stigma III
Harlequin
Harlequins have received major upgrades to their skill set, enhancing their signature poison damage and stealth capabilities to further emphasize their core traits. With deeper mastery over toxins, Harlequins now wield a variety of poison-based effects, with new self-buffs that unlock far greater combat potential and strengthen their signature playstyle.
The addition of advanced stealth and assassination abilities allows Harlequins to eliminate targets with even greater precision and secrecy than ever before, surpassing the covert potential they had as Jesters.
Added Skills:
- Alter Ego
- Special Yo-Yo Mastery
- Critical Stab
- Toxic Fury
- Toxic Assault
- Toxic Cloud
- Harlequin’s Greeting
- Harlequin’s Charge
- Yo-Yo Storm
Crackshooter
Rangers, already known for eliminating enemies before they could get close, have evolved into Crackshooters—now equipped with traps and even stronger ranged abilities. With the addition of numerous new bow and trap skills, Crackshooters can now take on more diverse roles and positions on the battlefield.
Traps, a completely new skill type for the class, allow Crackshooters to create safe zones, control enemy movements, and deliver powerful AoE damage.
Their existing bow skills have also been significantly strengthened, enabling more consistent long-range damage and improving their ability to neutralize enemies before they ever reach striking distance.
Added Skills:
- Devastating Sting
- Barrage
- Heavy Shot
- Repelling Shot
- Condor Dive
- Trap: DoT
- Trap: Debuff
- Trap: AoE
- Trap: Binding
- Trap: Blast
Seraph
Seraphs have gained new Hymn skills, allowing party members to hunt more safely and efficiently. In addition, previously lacking offensive skills have been added, granting Seraphs the ability to participate more directly in combat.
Hymn creates a zone around the Seraph that provides multiple powerful buff effects, reinforcing their role as a top-tier support class. This area allows allies to fight without interruption, maintaining continuous offensive pressure. The newly added attack skills not only deal damage but also heal allies simultaneously, making Seraphs even more indispensable during challenging encounters.
Added Skills:
- Soul of Rhisis
- Celestial Barrier
- Haven’s Step
- Sacrifice
- Divinecross
- Kyrie Eleison
- Gloria Patri
- Flow of Salvation
- Blessing of the Wise
- Hammer of Judgement
Forcemaster
Billposters, once known for subduing enemies with their fists, have awakened the power of Nen and evolved into Forcemasters—gaining a wide array of new offensive options. Harnessing Nen, Forcemasters can unleash powerful close-range techniques in rapid bursts or deal impactful AoE damage to distant foes.
They can also utilize Aura skills to enhance their own abilities or extend their combat endurance, granting them increased survivability and sustained performance in battle.
With their exceptionally strengthened melee capabilities and the overwhelming presence of Nen, Forcemasters strike fear into any enemy who crosses their path.
Added Skills:
- Concentration [Nen]
- Power Palm
- Initiating Strike
- Staggering Strike
- Nen Sphere

Mentalist
Psykeepers, who previously used basic wand attacks, have evolved into Mentalists—now capable of charging their skills themselves for even greater destructive power.
Their expanded skill set now includes a variety of debuffs and status effects, allowing Mentalists to incapacitate enemies more easily. New high-damage skills that exploit these weakened states have also been introduced, greatly enhancing their burst potential. This creates a new combat mechanic in which Mentalists apply debuffs, charge their skills, and strike enemies at their most vulnerable. Foes that fail to cleanse debuffs quickly will find themselves targeted and overwhelmed by the Mentalist’s amplified attacks.
Added Skills:
- Lilith’s Gaze
- Chimera’s Curse
- Malefic Detonation
- Hexe’s Lament
- Cimetiere’s Scream
- Damnation Surge
- Aether Rend
Arcanist
Arcanists represent the further evolution and specialization of the Elementor’s elemental mastery. In addition to dealing raw elemental damage, Arcanists now inflict a variety of elemental status effects, allowing them to control and trap enemies in multiple unfavorable situations. Their enhanced elemental damage also enables more precise exploitation of enemy weaknesses than ever before.
Defensive capabilities that were previously lacking have been reinforced, allowing Arcanists to operate effectively in a wider range of environments—even without the support of a dedicated tank. By chaining newly added elemental status-effect skills, Arcanists can overwhelm and subdue virtually any foe, solidifying their place as a dominant offensive magic class.
Added Skills:
- Incinerate
- Ignite
- Hellfire
- Ice Shard
- Tidal Omen
- Gale
- Gust
- Infusion
- EVA Storm
- Thunder Strike

New systems for third jobs
With the introduction of third job updates, new gameplay mechanics are being added: Master Skills and Synergy Skills. Each new job will also gain new passive skills that further enhance their specialization and playstyle.
Players can begin their respective third job quest at level 166 by speaking to the respective NPC by the Flaris fountain.
Master Skills
Once a third job skill has reached its maximum level, you will be able to select a Master version of that skill.
Example of the new Master Skill UI
Master Skills function similarly to a perk system, enhancing or modifying the skill’s behavior to suit different playstyles.
Only one Master Skill can be chosen per base skill. After committing to a Master Skill and leveling it, switching to a different Master option will require a skill reset or a different skill page. Master Skills are leveled using additional skill points, following the same process as standard skill leveling.
Synergy Skill
A new system, Synergy Skills, has been added to further strengthen your character.
Example of the new Synergy Skill scaling
Synergy Skills are skills that provide additional benefits—such as bonus stats or enhanced effects—when they reach certain level thresholds.
These skills are typically prerequisite or related skills that link to your third job abilities. Each Synergy Skill clearly displays its bonus effects within its skill tooltip, allowing you to plan your build more strategically.
Passive Skills
New Passive Skills have been introduced to further enhance each class. These skills provide a wide range of benefits, such as adjusting damage ratios, modifying how certain skills function, adding extra effects, reducing penalties, and more.
Passive Skills are always active and grant their benefits automatically, regardless of whether they are actively used.
Example of the new Passive Skills
Ultimate System Update
The Ultimate Jewel system has been streamlined and expanded with new synthesis and conversion features. These enhancements make it easier to acquire higher-tier Ultimate Jewels and provide opportunities to convert unwanted jewel types into ones better suited for your class.
Synthesizing Ultimate Jewels
You can now synthesize three jewels of the same tier—regardless of type—to obtain a random jewel of the next tier with a 100% success rate.
Example of the new Synthesize UI
Jewels can also be converted in batches, allowing you to continuously raise their tier to your desired level as long as you have sufficient Penya. All resulting jewels are created with equal probability.
A new cash shop scroll has been added that increases the chance of generating a specific jewel type during synthesis. However, this scroll cannot be used when performing batch synthesis.
Jewel Conversion
You can now convert an Ultimate Jewel into another random Ultimate Jewel of the same tier.
Example of the new Conversion UI
The tier will remain unchanged—no upgrades or downgrades will occur during this process.
Conversion requires the appropriate scroll: a Lower Scroll of Jewel Conversion for Tiers 1–5, and a Scroll of Jewel Conversion for Tiers 6–10.
Same Jewel Equipment
To enhance the value of Jewels obtained, you can now equip multiple jewels of the same type onto your Ultimate Weapons. The first jewel is applied with a 100% success rate.
However, each additional jewel has a reduced success chance, and failure will permanently destroy the jewel. Will you take the risk to forge an even stronger weapon?

Expanded Ultimate upgrade level
Following the update, Ultimate Weapons and Ultimate Accessories can now be upgraded to +10.
Example of a +10 Ultimate Weapon UI
The Ultimate upgrade system has been improved: failures no longer reduce upgrade levels. Instead, upgrade rates have been fully revised, and the pity system is now in place. All upgrade probabilities from +0 to +10 have been reworked to support this updated structure.
As you enhance your Ultimate equipment, you will be able to socket additional Ultimate Jewels—one per upgrade level.
New bonus stats are granted at +6 and +10. These two new stats can be rerolled using a new item, the Scroll of Ultimate Bonus II, separate from the existing Scroll of Ultimate Bonus.
Weapons and accessories that are neither [Soul-Linked] nor [Account-Linked] will have their upgrade level automatically adjusted to compensate for the new upgrade probabilities: +4 items will become +5 and +5 items will become +7.
Further Hero quest updates
The Hero Quest has been further expanded for hardcore challengers seeking greater rewards.
We return to our familiar friend Leila
A new reward type, Additional Skill Pages, has been added. These pages allow you to set up an entirely new skill configuration—functioning similarly to using a Re-skill item upon your first class change.
This feature works seamlessly with the newly introduced Master Skill and Synergy Skill systems, offering greater flexibility and build customization.
