Game Version 1.4.3 Patch Notes (March 6)

Dear players,

 

Here are the patch notes for game version 1.4.3, released after today's (March 6, 2025) maintenance: 

Guild Siege Changes

  • The dynamic player view range in all Guild Siege maps is now infinite. However, players may still “disappear” depending on your view setting in the options window, just like regular objects. Setting this option to a high enough setting will ensure that players never disappear.
  • Player nameplate view distance has been increased to 150 units in all PvP maps.
  • You can now spectate players inside Guild Siege maps using “/spectate <name>”, with some restrictions. Spectating a player will allow your camera to follow them.
    • Only members in the same guild may spectate each other.
    • Only members part of a guild rank which has the new “spectate” permission enabled may spectate guildmates.
    • Only members who are not currently inside the fighting area & fighting may spectate other members.
  • The lineup UI has been updated to include more information and functionality.
    • You can now click rows to select the player in the lineup.
    • You can now toggle buffs using a button next to the collapse button.
    • You can now spectate a player (if the above restrictions allow) using a button on their row.

 

Graphical Changes

  • Added a new SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion) setting.
    • This setting will approximate ambient occlusion in the real world - the effect of the sun’s indirect lighting not reaching dark corners and crevasses. This results in darker shadows in tight corners or areas where there is a lot of complex geometry.

 

 

The difference between the effect disabled (left) and enabled (right). Extra shadowing is visible by the fences and on the player’s clothing, where there is more complex geometry.

 

  • Added a new Volumetric Light setting.
    • This setting will approximate volumetric lighting or sun rays in the real world. It is most visible when the sun is being occluded by something, creating a stark shadow.

 

Sun rays and shadows visible over the mountain horizon as the sun peeks over. Great for sunset and sunrise pictures!

 

  • Heavily improved the performance as well as smoothness of the bloom effect. As a result, the “medium” option no longer exists, and there is only “low” and “high.” Both of these options should now perform much better on lower end devices.
  • Improved the lens flare when looking almost directly at the sun to be a less annoying, subtle visual (slightly visible in the image above).
  • Improved the movement and cycle of the sun and moon, no longer causing them to stop at sudden positions in the middle of the sky. The sunrise and sunset cycle is now a smooth rotation.

 

General Changes

  • The options window has been revamped to be more accessible. Note that the “Game” and “Controls” tabs have been merged into one “Game” tab.
  • Added a Guild Member filter to the navigator.
  • Guild members now show up as purple dots in the navigator.
  • Changed the location of [Depth Queen] Nereid in Herneos Dungeon.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the client would sometimes hang when the language is set to Korean.
  • Fixed an issue where some housing objects would intersect with the ground when placed.
  • Fixed an issue where the title of the Hero achievement was wrong.
  • Fixed an issue where chat emoticons didn’t work when there are other colons in the message.
  • Fixed an issue where the fitting room window would not update when using a Transy scroll.
